Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Scotland--International Collegiate Theatre Festival

Guilford College's department of Theatre Studies is working on sending a production to the Edinburgh Festival in August 2013. I went on a "familiarization tour." What a marvelous experience to be in a historic city that celebrates the performing arts every year with opportunities for broader cultural experiences in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

 

Arcadia U's College of Global Studies in Istanbul Turkey--Kadir Has University

What a wonderful surprise. Arcadia has created a program of real substance in partnership with the Kadir Has University (a STUNNING place). Istanbul provides an ideal setting where American students can live in a Muslim culture that actually loves the USA. We've added this one!

 

Arcadia U's College of Global Studies--Siracusa, Italy

Arcadia recently acquired the Mediterranean Center for Arts and Sciences on the small island of Ortigia, a community extension of Siracusa. It is a real gem. We will add their summer programs in 2013.

CEA Study Abroad--French Riviera

CEA Study Abroad enticed me to visit their program center in Antibes. I was especially impressed by the Centre International d'Antibe, a language school. I'm working on adding this site, which would be an amazing spot to study french in the summer!

Athens, Greece--Summer 2012

This summer included a number of visits to existing study abroad affiliate partners, and introductions to potential new partners. It began in Athens...a place I have wanted to visit for many years.
